Abstract: 

The purpose of this research is study of poverty comparatively in several regions of Tabriz. The research method is survey and its statistical population is families inhabited in Tabriz who are 391860 families. Stratified sampling was selected and sample size of 400 was estimated using Cochran Model. The data were collected using a questionnaire. Descriptive statistical analysis and ANOVA and Tukey were used to analyze the data. Total level of poverty achieved by calculating the total number of Cultural poverty, positional poverty, related poverty, and housing poverty. The level of each of the mentioned dimensions were compared and tested in different regions of Tabriz. The results of ANOVA suggest that there are significant differences between poverty and its dimensions in 10 municipal region of Tabriz. Also the test of Tukey presents these differences more significantly.

Abstract: 

In order to determine the role of the US withdrawal from Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPA) in 2018 in the evolution and change of the poverty framing, this study analyzes how poverty is framed in two categories of specialized (including leadership, Dolat, Mizan, Icana) and general websites (including Fars, Moj and Young Journalists Club) during 2017, 2018 and 2019. For this, it uses Framing as a theory, and the technique of Pan and Kosicki’s Frame analysis as a research method. Findings are categorized in four groups as syntactical, script, thematic, and rhetorical. The review indicates that 42,302 news and reports are distributed in these websites in the research period that 275 were identified as samples and recorded and analyzed in Maxquda software. The results show that, except for the Young Journalists Club, the way poverty is framed has changed on all cases since the imposition of sanctions, and sanctions highlighted as one of the main causes of poverty in the framing of poverty. In regard of agenda setting, the coverage of poverty news and reports is less than 10%; the poverty news coverage has been declining over the three years under study. The websites of Leadership and Moj have the largest coverage, and Young Journalists Club has the least amount (less than 1%) of coverage. Due to his type of agenda setting, the problem of poverty is marginalized in public opinion. The framing of poverty with emphasis on the US withdrawal from JCPA as the cause of poverty represent poverty as a temporary issue, silences the voice of the poor, and depicts the emergence of a new social form in Iranian society.

Abstract: 

The present research studies Cultural aspect of poverty titled "culture of poverty". For the first time this concept presented in details by Oscar Louis and as a result of his field investigations. To briefly describe this concept it could be said that “the poor don’t praise consciously their own poverty, though they preserve it unconsciously”.This research by extracting the most important indicators of the poverty culture like fatalism, consumption and no inclination to savings, social alienation, and lack of futurism and blaming poverty has studied this phenomenon and its related factors through a survey among citizens of Delphan, Lorestan province.The results showed that about 80 percent of study samples suffer from poverty culture in average or above average. According to the explanatory results, there is a meaningful correlation between poverty culture and Cultural capital, level of religiosity and living place with 99 percent level of confidence. Furthermore, no significant correlation observed between poverty culture and use of media.

Abstract: 

Women are deprived from the capacities and capabilities needed for poverty reduction. The anxieties of women falling into the group of "poorest of the poor" has resulted in the development of different approaches including "Women Empowerment". It seems the Process of empowerment of the poor women requires changes in all the institutions which have deprived them from the capabilities and have put them at the risk of poverty.This article presents part of the findings of a research conducted by the methods of group discussion and survey among the female headed households of Arak (a city in central part of Iran). It is shown that because of their sex, women are more vulnerable against poverty. Their poverty is not only income but in the social and psychological dimensions which are as important as economic aspect. To eradicate poverty, women's empowerment as well as structural changes are required.

Abstract: 

All simple methods of the measurement of poverty, such as ratio of the poor in total population and income gap are in fact unable to reflect inter-transformation society, with respect to change in money making groups, income transformation, gathering of the social groups, symmetry, asymmetry (dependency of the index to the other specification of the individuals in the society), monotonicity, social welfare, social justice etc. Therefore, these indices are weak and deficient to show dynamism of the poverty.the more complicated indices that started to introduce from Sen work, reflect The income distribution circumstance and income ranking and some of them are admitted to Gini coefficient. Nearly fifteen such principal indices that apply income distribution content and income transformation, poverty line and distribution among the poor are recognized. Some of these indices deal with social welfare, which is not a calculable issue. However the total number of secondary and/or related indices are amounted to more than seventy. Selecting a proper index for every society relies on data access, the structure and distribution of the population and the income of the society under consideration, the goals of planning as well as policy making and finally choosing the researcher. In this article I have analyzed the ability and power of the main indices, with special regard to Iran situation. To accomplish this fact, I have introduced a nine-item principles that are necessary in index, Then I introduced analyzed the sen, Kakwani Takayama and some other indices. Finally, bringing Iran poverty and income distribution condition into consideration, I have represented a propose index as the geometric mean of the third Kakwani's and the first sen indices. Using Some appraises and non-parametric estimate as well as official data for Iran, I have calculated the poverty index of the country. This index is considered as a high index with respect to percupita income of the country.

Abstract: 

Discourse analysis originates from the ideas of linguists, hermeneutics analysts and researchers. This method explains the analysis by examining the textual context and situational context, the dominant discourse on society, and the dominant thought on it. The short story of Al-Changiya, written by Iraqi writer Xenon Ayub, is a representation of the realities and problems of the traditional Iraqi society, which provides a directional image of the ideological processes governing society; the significance of these illustrated images is that of Cultural poverty in the society, and the characters depicted in these stories represent a the true personalities of the society and display behavior consistent with the false stereotypes in their society. The present paper uses a descriptive-analytic method in the form of discourse analysis to answer the question of how the discourse-based system or systems governing the community have become a bedrock for the promotion and reproduction of Cultural poverty in traditional Iraqi society. Zenon Ayoub (1908-1988) is a posthumous of short story in Iraq, with about fourteen short story collections. The dominant thought and theme behind his work is a reflection of a rebellious spirit and a realistic attitude influenced by French and Russian realists, a vision that directs his work to a new structure with a focus on human freedom, especially women’ s freedom and defended of their rights. In his view, the greatest task that any literary writer, especially the storyteller, must fulfill is to expose the truth and criticize inaccurate political and social realities they see in society, without fear of its consequences or the hope of reward. “ Zahaya” is the title of a series of short stories by Zenon, the subject of which is to criticize traditional society and to deal with characters who, with their traditionalism and false beliefs, are the ground of oppression and their surroundings, in a better sense, we come across characters who are each a victim of Cultural poverty and false traditions. The collection consists of six short stories, titled: “ Al-Saqetah” , “ Man Vera al-Hijab” , “ Al-Aatraq al-Khalas” , “ Al-Sharif” , “ Jonun” and “ Al-Jarima and Al-Aqaba” , all of which are in the tradition index. Commonism and witness are the same, stories that all share the same traditionalism and bear witness to the same look, which gives insight into the attitudes of intellectual writers with deep human concerns. Discourse analysis came up with a term called discourse analysis. The term is originally a Greek word for dis which means different aspects and course means movement. A linguistic approach is to discover and analyze the way the speaker or audience thinks based on the existing text. Discourse analysis is one of the topics of modern linguistics in the field of contemporary literary criticism which has also been translated into spoken and word analysis in Persian. In discourse analysis, we do not merely deal with the lexical elements that constitute the sentence as the main basis of the description of meaning, that is, the context of the text, but beyond that we consider factors outside the context, namely situational, Cultural, social, and so on. In other words, the followers of this school describe how the units of linguistics crystallize and form meaning and message in relation to intrinsic factors (text, syntactic and linguistic elements, etc. ) and extrinsic factors (social, Cultural, political, etc. ). The theme of the Al-Changiya story series provides an opportunity to enter the inner layers of the Cultural problems of women and men in the traditional Iraqi society, and the author, by illustrating the routine social relations, a simple language and a thriller for complex issues in relationships of human; by analyzing the lives of the characters of these stories, will have some kind of critical and social perspective. In analyzing these stories, we will see that Cultural poverty is a pervasive problem in the feminine and masculine discourses in the story, and it is not just for the lower classes of society. In this collection of stories, life is suppressed, suicidal characters prefer to survive, the personality is on his own suspicion to preserve dignity, and the other inevitably leads to a tidal vortex, but the common point of all these stories is a bitter and fatal fate, which is the result of incorrect and false Cultural beliefs embodied in the minds of the patriarchal society. The most important Cultural expressions that have meant the meaning of Cultural poverty in the “ Al-Changiya” collection are: superstition and the belief in magic, discrimination and adultery, and belief in the superiority of men over women, the masculinity of science, maternal look to woman, poverty and financial dependency of woman, forced marriage, violence and ultimately hot shame, all of which are traversed by traditional and patriarchal society, which incorporate gender stereotypes from the beginning in the minds of each man and woman. In other words, these discourses show the plurality of power relations in the context of the story and, consequently, in the society of the Xenon Age, which is inevitable due to the kind of education, low Cultural level, social connection, etc. and even dominated by society in many cases. The dominant discourse on each of the stories of this set of poverty is social culture and false customs, which all take place on the basis of people’ s words and sentiments, not through the use of reason. The review of Xenon’ s stories in this collection illustrates the fact that his stance in his stories is neither patriarchal nor feminist, therefore, he did not have any effort to stabilize the stereotypes. Rather, it tries to inform the audience through narrative, to counteract Cultural poverty and incorrect beliefs and traditions that have left women in the dark and kept them in shadow, and in many cases denied their social rights, and the negative consequences of some of the stereotypes that have mutually challenged man’ s life.

Economic globalization has been formed through last five centries, during which more developed counties in attempt 5 gain profits, influence and more economic lejemony dominated some states and developed their trade, economic and productive activifies. Abstract: 

Obviously, Gnosticism and Sufism are the most important areas in the field of classic literature of Iran in which there is an inner movement towards its original source that is close to God. In the course of movement, the follower encounters a lot of problems that sometimes take him away from the main goal. Sufism sheikhs recommended steady "remembrance" to their followers so that they could rescue themselves from forgetfulness and ignorance and arrive at the destination being helped by his leader. Remembering has had special ceremonies. Doing them under the supervision of sheikh, the follower has recited remembrance. In this paper, while introducing Gnosticism and Sufism in Islam briefly, we have dealt with the place of remembrance, its ceremonies, its ranks, the most important remembrance etc. in Sufism literature. Moreover, we have analyzed the points of view of some Sufism pioneers and sheikhs concerning remembrance.
